Minchinhampton CC Junior Reports
Minchinhampton won by 22 runs. Looked set for a close finish with Fields at the crease for Frocester and them needing 30 off the last 4 overs, but a professional bowling & fielding display from the Minch side saw them home.
Very close game, with 2 young U15 teams on display. Cam recovered really well from some early wickets to post a good score, with Johnson the main scorer with 20. Scoreboard pressure got to the Minch side as no one could stay in when chasing the total. Opener Douch batted superbly for Minch and very nearly carryied his bat to guide Minch home, but excellent fielding from Cam lead to a nail biting finish when he was removed. With no 10 and 11 in for Minch 3 runs were needed from 3 overs. A single was pushed and from the resulting over throw the Minch batsmen found themselves both in the middle of the wicket for an unfortunate run out and a win for Cam.
